Working with clay has always been a passion since I first touched it. I have been bringing together the four elements of earth, water, air and fire to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces in my Colchester, Vermont studio since the late 90's.
In addition, for over a decade I was a volunteer at the Burlington City Arts Clay Studio, in Vermont from 2010 until 2022, where I oversaw the process, from wheel to kiln, and enjoyed the creative exchange that goes along with being a member of a vibrant local artists space.
I always enjoy making little pots by throwing them off the hump or smaller pinch pots that I turn into poppies, flowers, or small hearts. Most are hand-painted which takes 100s of hours but is pure meditation and worth every brush stroke.
I have lived in Vermont since 1993 with my husband, Alessandro (Alex) and our 2 children - Isabella and Graham, plus, our cute cats - Mae and Bowie who are often featured on my Instagram page - Pure joy!
The photo was my first ceramic barn board tray exhibit at BCA Studios when I kicked off my business in September 2018. Since then my pieces have evolved and I am always exploring and creating new ideas with clay.
